Is That Era Lost Forever ??

A question that keeps striking my mind. Every time a new invention has been found or a

new mechanism have been explained to make man's life more and more comfortable, I feel

myself asking : "Was there a period when all these inventions were not even dreamt of ? " Did 

such a period of life exist or were my parents bluffing about such a period of life? No. They were 

true to their words.

Yes .Such an era of life existed when man was not so familiar with the word "Science".

An era of hard work, peace, harmony and brotherhood .A time when steam engines were very 

 popular .Black and white televisions were a wonder for man .Times when lanterns and oil lamps

 would adorn every house .And sitting in armchairs and watching carts being pulled by bullocks

 was a heavenly leisure. Times when laughter of children would always fill the air, for they would 

 be on their legs, wandering about, every second of free time they get .Relishing the sweetness of 

 the fruit grown in one's own field was something not very great in that period .When my parents 

 explain these childhood memories of their's, never for once I felt that the present world is better.

 Even though the present world seems impressing , I was ten times more impressed by the world 

 in which my parents and grand parents belonged to.The harmony they had and the simple life   

 they led is something I just can't imagine.I truly felt like being in that world ,to witness all these

 which for me is a wonder. It can be pointed that the people of that era had enjoyed the sweetness

 of such a world and the present generation would never be able to enjoy it.

 Day by day as man's mind works deeper and deeper ,as new inventions grow,the old ways 

 and ideas just remain as memories.The etiquettes and values imbibed by the past generation 

 is vanishing without being passed to the present generation.Man becomes more and more

 interested in his own self and prosperity.Even nature which was once our dearest mate, 

 which was a pleasure for man is being torn away by man himself.

 Does all this mean that the past era is just a myth now? Is that era which seemed 

 so beautiful and lovely lost forever???? It may seem old fashioned today ,but a 

 deep thinking will let us know that we are mistaken.
